Intro to GWT

This presentation will focus on an introduction to the Google Web Toolkit, commonly known as GWT, from two seasoned GWT enterprise app developers. Along the way, the presentation will also address the challenges common to developing Rich Internet Applications, the GWT development life cycle, and how GWT is different from other RIA frameworks. 3rd party accellerators for GTW will also be touched upon, including GIN, a flavor of Guice that provides Guice capablity for JavaScript on the client side.

Peter Haynes works as a Manager at Pariveda Solutions and has been there for nearly 3 years.

Derrick Bowen works as an Associate at Pariveda Solutions and specializes in web development and user experience / user interface design.

Both Peter and Derrick have recentl worked a project developing an enterprise application using GWT for the front end for roughly the past year.
